Stroller advice please

Stroller advice please

Hello all:
We have three friends about to give birth and they are all close friends. DH and I are thinking of giving them each strollers (fits into price range of what we want to spend -- these are close friends, ie BM at our wedding, etc.) and I wanted to get feedback from you experienced moms on strollers that:
--fold easily (urban moms)
--were light to carry
--were sturdy
--that you would buy again

One pair is registered for the peg perego aria but I read the reviews and they were very mixed. These are all 1st time parents and we have told them that this is our intention (to buy strollers) and all have said they would be open to input regarding quality. So can you ladies please share your experiences?
Thanks

Re: Stroller advice please

I am personally a Graco fan. We have Princeton Travel System for Emma. It folds easy but is about 15lbs. Plus its discontinued...

BUT if you want easy to fold and lite then go for a Graco Metrolite. They are SUPERLIGHT!!! There is also the Snap N Go for just the infant carrier for the first 5 months or so. That things a breeze!!!

BUT I suggest you go to BRU or BBB and test em out and see what works best for you.

If I didnt go there I would have gotten a double stroller that was a freakin lead weight!!! Not now!

I LOVE my Graco Metrolite. I also got the matching Snugride for it so my stroller and infant car seat matched.
I liked the snap and go, but used it as a second stroller for our other car. I 9 out of 10 times used my Metrolite.

Re: Stroller advice please

I ahve both the Graco Duo glader and Peg ARia Twin ( I have twin girls ) the Graco is awesome. The tires squeek alot and it weighs a thousand pounds but it is so easy to use as far as a travel system goes. I don't like the Peg Aria travel system. the infant seat is very shallow and babies grom out of it fast. I bought the Aria to use when the girls are too big for the infant seat because it is really light and easy to take in and out of the car.

Hope this helps...I guess my vote for first stroller is the GRACO

I have a graco and it is great for walking / exercise. But I LOVE my maclaren double and only wished my single was the same many. The Europeans REALLY know how to design baby gear with MOM in mind. Easy to set up, light weight and VERY durable!!! Well worth the investment. I would highly recommend the stroller to anyone - no frustrations or difficulties, plenty of storage for shopping w/ baby or spending the day out and about. Here is the link:maclaren strollers

Good Luck

I love my Peg Perego Venezia. It's not a light stroller, but its sturdy and easy to use. Plus the car seat goes into it!

after test-driving them all we liked the Peg Perego Aria best because it was so light (I think its 8-9 lbs) and VERY easy to push as well as fold with one hand. Plus if you get a Peg car seat, you can attach it to the stroller like a travel system if needed.

We registered for the Pliko P3. My sister in law has it and says it's the best stroller she ever had-she's been through a couple as she's on her second child. I liked it in the store and when I've used hers I've enjoyed it as well.

I have the Peg Perego Venezia and I LOVE IT!! Its the BEST stroller I have had!! I wish I had bought that the first time around! ( That was my 4th stroller in 1 year )
I am very very picky when it comes to them and I have not 1 complaint about this stroller!! FM me if you need any info on it. Whats really great is the older model didnt come with a cup holder ... i thought that was kind of silly but the new model has one attatched!
