Stuck in a rut and feeling left out (vent)

Stuck in a rut and feeling left out (vent)

Ok, so 3 weeks ago FH moved to the city, leaving me in San Diego to finish my master's. He has had the fun and excitement of starting a great job, finding a great apartment, decorating it, and buying a new kitty. Meanwhile, I'm stuck here (where it's been raining non-stop) in a job that uses 0% of my skills, creativity, and intelligence. Not to mention the fact that I'm burnt out from school (been going non-stop for 23 years). I want to be there with him, being close to him and sharing all the new excitement, and it's driving me nuts that I can't be! I know it's only until the beginning of June, but everyone keeps telling me it will go fast and it definitely ISN'T. I can't even get excited to do wedding planning. I'll be visiting him on my spring break in less than 3 weeks, but I know once I do I won't want to leave!!! It'll make the last 9 weeks even worse! Ugh.

Whew! Thanks! I'm not usually one to vent, but I needed that!

I understand what you mean.. and lots of times I only see my FW on weekends.. and it drives me so crazy. I have never wanted to be or see someone soooo bad as her. Ever.

But right now in our life situation, we have to do this this way. We now are both actually living back home. It lets us save money.. our work schedules just do not mesh. and we both have indiviual projects./taks we need to take care of... I'd say this...

Remember.. you always have email.. and even better.. know this.. even though you are apart right now (much further than me and FW), you're both working towards goals for yourselves and each other.

You will have a life together maade much more comfortable by the sacrifice you make now. I know you probably miss each other like crazy.. ut try to think of the long term.. and soon before you know it.. it will be June!

Thanks! That must be tough for you too! I think I need to fill up my social calendar to make the days go faster! I was living with FI and 3 of our friends before they all moved back to NY and left me to move in with my parents for the short-term. It was so nice and easy to have housemates to fall back on when you wanted to hang out. :o) I hope things change for you soon too!

Thanks.. but we have to be like this til October.. but it's OK. We have bigger goals to achieve. We communicate multiple times a day through email and the phone. It's all about looking forward to the future now and doing what we have to do to make all our dreams come true. And I think filling your social calendar with a bunch of things to do definiely make the weeks go faster. I'm a big believer in looking forward to something during the week instead of looking to something months from now. Then after a time, you'll notice how much time has passed and the time to be reunited will be even sooner. Good Luck to ya!

Defenitly fill your social calander, I only see FH on weekends also so I started to work out which helps with feeling sad and helping me achieve my weight loss goal, and I have been taking classes.
