My words of advice:

1.TAKE PICTURES!!!!!! So you have them for your portfolio.

2. Put yourself out there- get involved in everything and anything that you can so the know your name. That's how I ended up getting a job in the school I student taught in.

Yup..I just finished mine in June..I even went back right before school ended to visit my kids

It was great but I was nervous at 1st too. Hopefully you get a great cooperating teacher
