Stuff in common with your FH

I thought it would be cool to break away from prices of limos, dj's, bands, and all the other endless wedding things, and kind of remember why we are here in the first place... What kind of things do you have in common with your FH.. what things do you like to do together and when did you know you were going to marry him???

Stuff in common with your FH

What a great thread! We like doing basically everything together, go out to eat, play cards, travel, watch movies, sit around and talk and plan the future (and wedding), etc. I think I knew we were going to be together forever when we went to Las Vegas in January. We left after work and flew a red eye there so I got hardly any sleep and the next day we must have walked miles and miles. We went back to the hotel to take a little nap before dinner. He took a little nap, I slept for 14 hours! straight through to the next morning. He stayed with me the entire time. He didn't go down to the casino or to dinner, didn't even order room service because he wanted to be there when (or if:) I woke up.

Stuff in common with your FH

We both went to the University of Florida and love to watch Gator Football and Basketball. We love to play cards, boardgames, workout together, go to the park, etc. We really enjoy activities together. Hmmm..when did I know we would be together forever. He's just always seemed to be my soulmate. Always interested in learning new things from me, as I am from him.

Stuff in common with your FH

We like to take walks together, ride our bikes over the brooklyn bridge, go out to eat (unfortunately we do this a little too much), and we especially like to do absolutely nothing together. I knew I wanted to always be with him when I went to China for a month. I was half way around the world (20 hour plane ride) and everyday I wrote in my journal how much I missed him. I started to run out of money and couldn't afford to call him and we didn't speek for 1 1/2 weeks...finally someone on the trip told me to call him collect (at his work!!) I did, it went through and I did it almost every day. His company never said any thing to him...heehee The only thing that got me through the plane ride home (the video was broken - we were supposed to have 3 movies, but instead nothing) was imagining seeing him in the airport. Im not sure I could ever go that long away from him again.

Stuff in common with your FH

This is fun! I agree with yabbobay- the best thing about my Fi is that I have more fun nothing with him then I do anything else with anybody else! That's how I know that we are meant to be together. He is my best friend- the person I want to tell everything to and have around me all the time!! We laugh at the stupidest things and have the same dreams about the future!! I cannot wait to be married to him! I think we need to talk about things like this a little more often....b/c this is what it is all about :) Thanks Tami!!!

Stuff in common with your FH

My fiance and I like to do just about anything together but lately with our lives being so hectic we get the most joy out of sitting on our couch together watching whatever is on tv. I knew he was the one because when I thought about my future he was always part of it and I never felt that way about anyone else. He is my rock and I see it in his eyes everyday how much he loves me and it makes everyday a great day. Thanks everyone for sharing.

Stuff in common with your FH-thank you !!

Thank you guys for sharing! I find myself getting so wrapped up sometimes in wedding stuff, I thought this would be a nice break from the wedding action :-) My FH and I live together and have since we got engaged, about 5 1/2 months now.. The best thing in the world is coming home each day to him.. I look forward to it all day.. we do our own things a lot of the time, but at the end of the day my favorite thing is just laying on the sofa and watching TV with him, or just sitting around talking about the weekend plans, and our future together.. I guess I knew he was going to be the guy that I would spend the rest of my life with when I could not see the rest of my life without him.. I can't say it was one moment that it dawned on me, but rather just a series of moments.. Thanks again so much for sharing all your great stories!!!

Stuff in common with your FH

My FH and I are both total sports nuts (him soccer and me baseball) and we are both addicted to taking road trips. we always have so much fun together and no one makes me laugh like he does. I knew he was the one when he bought me opening day tickets (yankee) for valentine`s day, even though he depised baseball.

Well, we've been friends since 1985 and deep down, I always knew there was something special there. We started going out in 1992; I remember telling my friend that week that we were going to get married one day. We've helped each other through alot; we may have taken our time getting here, but we know it's forever. We enjoy going to concerts, going to dinner or barbecuing, hanging out with our friends, going for rides on his boat(not fishing together though, that he does on his own-LOL). Happy Planning, Helen

He truly is my best friend. We love hockey, playing softball, silly trivia, vintage video games and just talking about little things. I knew we'd be together for the long term when we were apart for a month due to my job. We both hugged hard and cried when we finally were together again. I couldn't imagine him not being in my life. Thanks for sharing everyone!

Stuff in common with your FH

Thanks for starting this topic - very interesting! My FH and I have a great meeting story! I dated a friend of his in college for 3 years up in New Paltz. After graduation, his friend and I broke up and about a year later I went to a bar crawl in Manhattan (last place I thought I'd meet anyone). The bar was very crowded, and I felt a hand pull me through the crowd to 'safety'. I looked him in the face and said 'I know you from somewhere' - about 2 min. later we figured it out, and have been together ever since (5+ years). I was trying the dating scene at that time, seeing about 3 people. But when I met him, my heart melted, and I never called those other guys again. I think I knew all along he was the man I was going to marry... We love to play pool together (we are on a league), gamble (a little too much), bike ride, and many times just sit around and watch TV (and flirt). But mostly, we just like being around each other. I love going out with my friends, but when he's not there, I feel like a part of me is missing. Thanks again for starting this thread - and thanks to everyone for sharing with the board. Good luck to everyone!

We can talk to each other about anything and evrything, that is what I love most of all about him. It is nice reading everyone's stories. Lots of Luck to all you bride to be's.

Stuff in common with your FH

When I first met my FH, he was too good to be true because we have so much in common. We are both big Mets fans. We like to be active but we also like to stay home and watch tv and relax. I knew he was the man I was going to marry when he told me that he loved me on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. We love each other very much and I cant wait to marry him.

We love spending time together and we motivate each other (most of the time)hehe. We love to bike ride, go to movies, go to Belmont Park Lake. We have so many things in common. Last weekend while we were bike riding, I realized that he is going to be my riding partner for life! Sounds weird but think about it. If you do a hobby together, he will always be the one who does it with you, no other man! It was a very comforting feeling knowing that. When I told him he laughed and said until he finds a mistress and rides with her LOL. Its amazing, the things we love (and some we dont) will be shared with one person from now on. I am scared (9 weeks to go) but more so, I am comforted knowing someone besides my 'family' (hes not quite yet) will be there for me always.

I think I knew he was always the one. We had so much in common from the start. The times we spend together doing nothing are the times we treasure most. We respect our differnces because that`s all they are-differences. We encourage each other to be our best and yet sacrifice for us together. I can`t wait for the joys and challenges.
