stuffing invitations

OK, I read the stuffing envelope instructions, but I have a question...
I have a tri-fold invitation that has vellum 'doors' that open to the invitation. The correct way to stuff a tri-fold is to put the enclosures into the fold . However, I feel like the beauty of our invitaion is that you can see it through the vellum. Do you think it will look funny to put the enclosures inside it or do you think I can buck the system and leave them outside like a single card invitation?

Does that make sense!?
TIA!!!

I should mention that it ties closed with a ribbon...

I think if putting the enclosres inside the invitation would take away from the beauty of it, then definitely put them outside ... you can put them in front or behind the invitation inside the envelope.

HTH!
