stupid DH... and mom
long story short..
we're painting the house, well FIL is.
my mother said 'orange is the new in-color' i scoffed.. and said I HATE orange and yellow... i just don't like those colors.. at all.
sure enough our living room and dining room are a light yellow.
well DH and I had originally picked this burnt pink for our fireplace room... but I decided I didn't like it and wanted something else.
DH and FIL went to homedepot on sunday without me (I wanted to sleep) and bought a color called 'bagel' his reasoning.. 'we like bagels'
so DH asks me to leave a note for FIL explaining that the green is going in the kitchen and the brown is going in the living room... i tell him its more orange than brown.. so we 'bicker' over it.. he's like 'put brown or you'll confuse my father'
well i forgot to leave the note.
so FIL calls me and I tell him green in kitchen and the other color in the living room.. DH calls it brown and I call it orange.
FIL is like.. 'thats orange!'
so I email DH:

your father just called me.
I totally forgot to leave him a note this morning, I had a few things on my mind.
anyway, he was like 'what color goes in the fireplace room?'
i was like the GREEN goes in the kitchen, the other color, which is kinda brownish/orange goes in the fireplace room.
he's like 'okay, i thought it was yellow'. I was like 'no, joe says its light brown, i say its like an orange'.. he's like 'its orange'.
so HA! i told you it was orange!
i just hope he doesnt use the one that we had in the bedroom...
how many cans of paint were down in the basement?
