My birthday was yesterday and I realized I am definately at the point I should be wearing make up. It is clearly needed, and I don't come across as well professionally as I should, so I hope this might help. I've read to use eye shadow that complements my eye color. What the heck colors complement hazel to yellow eyes? And what do I do with eyeliner? I am serious, this is terrible.....

you dont have to wear eyeliner if you dont want to, i never wear it. ALso i dont really use colored eye shadows, maybe sometimes for special occasions...For me i just feel its too much. I use more natural colors on my eyes and just mascara
dont feel the need to wear things you dont want to...maybe start off slow...a little concealer, blush, mascara and gloss-thats all i do

I know how you feel. I don't wear any makeup except a touch of powder on my face & some bronzer on my cheeks. I really want to learn how to start using makeup, nothing crazy, just a natural, healthy look.

I never wear colors on my lids...just some drown liner, neutral shadow and mascara...play around a bit and use stuff you feel comfy in.

I never ever wear makeup... I did at 1 point when I was 17, tryin to look older to get into clubs, but FH hateddddd me with it!!!! So I wear NOTHING!!! Just use powder to cover up the breakouts every now n then
I have no clue how to use makeup... I think I'll prob freak out when someones doing my makeup for the wedding cuz i'm not used to my face being touched like that

same here!! i only wear powder to cover up, but im not looking foward to getting my makeup done, im afraid im going to look like a clown and be too much. i dont want to look like a different person.

Thats just it! My first trial I felt like a clown! Another they kept asking me what I wanted and I tried to explain I just don't know. I know I'll be in good hands with my artist. But everyday, doing it myself, oh boy.....

thats what i do... it's amazing what a little concealer blush, mascara & lip gloss does!

i have hazel eyes and plums always make my eyes pop...but i agree, start off slowly...i think bobbi brown cosmetics has a really natural look for every day. i really only use colors for dramatic effect...otherwise, i keep it simple with neutral tones like cream and slightly darker cream/taupe/slate in crease. mascara, blush, sheer pinky peach gloss and i'm set!

A simple way to look polished everyday is to wear mascara and lipstick or lipgloss..if you want to look professional, wear a darker lipcolor like wine instead of a light pink...you'll automatically look polished and you don't have to go through all of the trouble of applying eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, foundation, etc. that stuff gets messy and it's a pain to keep it looking fresh all day...especially when it's hut! just stick with the mascara and lipstick and you'll be fine, HTH!

i agree - nicely shaped brows and mascara does wonders! the only make up i wear is mascara

almay has a makeup line that goes according to colors... blue eyes, buy this! hazel eyes, wear this! You can totally wear whatever you want and rock it hardcore.... but overall, some lip product (even chapstick), brown/black mascara and a little something to even out your skintone. (you can check out the tinted moisturizers with spf as they are fool-proof)
