Stupid Invites. Im on the C and D list now

HI Ladies.

I have to tell you I am SOOOOOO glad we decided to 'groom' a C and D list as we were making the list for the wedding.

We have:

213 Invited
141 Yes
46 No
26 unknown.

We added:
4 people today.

141+26 +4= 171 (below min of 175) If EVERYONE says yes!

Now, we think we are going to get about 6-8 no's out of the 30 unknown.

We are now sending out e-mails to another 12 people. If they send us their addresses (as asked) then we know they are coming and are sending them a formal invitation.

Thank G-d we have 1 month to figure this all out.

But its KILLING me.

I feel your pain.

I just got an invite returned to me today. When I called FMIL to confirm address, that jogged her memory that she forgot to invite the children of said couple (like in their 40s/50s adults, so fine)

Then she told me she was going to call her other family members to invite their children.

I just drank half a bottle of wine to console myself.

I think thats what im going to do.

And we have to have the escort cards in soon to caligrapher......

...im gonna throw up a little in my mouth now.

But seriously. I cant BELIEVE we have over 40 no's. Anyone sending out invites right now should REALLY think about what to do if yoiu are getting close to under your minimum.

I sit and wait for the RSVP's.............

Thanks for answering my question. I am going to send out more tomorrow. We have a B list because our room was capped at 172 and we had more people then the hotel took forever to send us more direction cards. Hopefully people will not be offended that they are sent out late.

Did you make new RSVP cards for the invitations you just sent out?
