Unless your shoes are particularly slippery, I wouldn't scuff if you want a photo. I definitely think you have to break in for comfort, but I don't think scuffing the bottoms are necessary.

I was wondering the same thing... I ask my friend if it was okay to wear my shoes to a wedding this month I have to break them in. They are Christian Louboutin red bottoms and she brought up a good point. My shoes will be scuffed and it won't look good for pictures on my wedding day.

I'm wearing flats because I know I will not be able to wear heels all night.

yea, I wouldn't scuff them if you want them to look good for pics, you could always quickly scuff them after, those pics are usually taken before the ceremony even begins

I wore mine the morning of the wedding around my house and that was it. They were fine the day of. I took them off right before my reception started (after cocktail hour and pictures)

I believe you can buy sticker pads that help prevent you from slipping. Take the pics you want then stick those on :)

Crashing. Spray hairspray on the bottom. It males them not slippery without scuffing.
