How do you deal with friends of yours (that happens to be engaged) that whenever you tell them anything you have done for the wedding so far, they think your keeping secrets from them because you didnt tell them right away. My friend just told me that she is going to register tomorrow. When I told her that I registered a few weeks ago she asked me why it was a big secret. I was like wha???
Heres the e-mail she wrote to me when I told her I registered:
Hey,
Oh so you guys went to regiater already? What was the big secret? So you guys had fun? I cant wait to go...Im excited about going.
And heres what I wrote in response:
Big secret?
I wasnt keeping anything a secret. I just forgot to tell you.. We didn't make a big deal about it because we have to make changes to the registry & we still have to go to Bed Bath & Beyond, so our registry isn't complete. When you told me you are going tomorrow, I remembered that we started ours, so I told you. No secrets here.
This is NOT the first time she has accused me of keeping 'secrets' Whats her deal?

You so can not win-if you tell them evert detail then they complain that is all you talk about and if you do not tell then it is a secret

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer. I don't share anything about wedding details with anyone besides the family and you ladies.
Tell her to calm down and stop thinking that everything is such a conspiracy.

Sometimes I just don't tell people anything because they will think i am obsessed with wedding plans or because I simply do not want their input. i have one cousin who insists that I have chair covers with bow-ettes. My catering hall's ballroom was just completed two weeks ago with beautiful brand new chairs. Why would I cover them and spend an extra $1000 or more?

i don't know..i am kind of torn on this..i have a BF who got engaged around the same time as me and i thought we would have done more planning together and everytime i ask her about her plans she never gives any detail..i'm not to sure how to take it..i am just overall dissapointed that we aren't enjoying this special time in our lives together..we have be friends for over 10 years and i am her MOH..it's just weird..i feel like the firls on this site are more excited about my plans as she is.
so back to you, maybe she is feeling a little bit how i am....
