When you walk down the aisle, are you doing the take a step, stop.... take a step, stop.... or are you just walking continuously down but slowly?
I haven't seen anyone do the step stop thing in a while.

Though I am not getting married for a while, I will be doing the continuous walking. I think it looks more natural. Just take it slow.

Re: Stupid Question
that's what I was thinking... then yesterday I was at work and we were 'playing Bride' and pretending to walk down the aisle and one of the girls said to do it the other way, I thought that was sort of old school, and didn't know if people did that anymore.

Re: Stupid Question
I walked slowly. Quite honestly, I think I would have tripped if I broke my pace. And I doubt I could have coordinated the stop and go with Dad.

Re: Stupid Question
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been practicing her 'bridal walk' I've even been trying to choreograph it to the song I'm walking down the aisle to!
But to answer your question, I think I will just walk continuously.

Re: Stupid Question
I just walked... between worrying about tripping and being so excited to meet DH at the end I just walked ( alittle fast ) to him.

Re: Stupid Question
you know what? you're going to be so caught up in the moment that any practicing you've done will go right out the window I was told to remember to go slow about 5 seconds before i walked down the aisle and despite that, i started to march right on down that aisle, so excited to get to my fiance. My Dad had to grab me and pull me back and whisper to slow it down!
I can't imagine doing a step then stop - its just too awkward looking - and coordinating it with whoever is walking you down would be difficult too!

Re: Stupid Question
Being that I will be so nervous; Who knows what I'll do! FH might just have to come and get me That or my dad might have to carry me down

Re: Stupid Question
Hopefully I can walk down the aisle slowly. I'm not going to step-stop. YOu know we'll all be out of sync and I'll start hysterical laughing.

Re: Stupid Question
i'll probably walk a little slow....but continuously. my dad is almost a foot taller than me, so my two steps is equal to his one! so for that reason i'll wanna slow down the pace. plus i'll wanna eat up all that time just walking down the aisle looking at my FH waiting for me.

Re: Stupid Question
Do what feels most comfie to you and what makes you happy. But - walk slow and look at everybody. That is some of the best advice I've gotten so far from married ladies... Walk slow on the way out too!

Re: Stupid Question
I've been thinking about this too, and I've still got quite some time!! I'm just going to continuously walk, just have to remember to go slow!! I'm afraid the step-stop thing will look too 'bouncy' and I'd prob end up making myself laugh on the way down!!

Re: Stupid Question
I'm not doing the step-stop-step because I'll either trip or lose what step I was on and mess up. I'm just gonna walk slow.

Re: Stupid Question
Please.... It was all my Dad could do to lift the veil over my head let alone do the step stop thing.
Seriously though...just walk. It's all a dream while you're taking those steps to be husband and wife...
