How do you go about blocking hotel rooms? I've never done this and I dont know anything about it! Do I have to pay anything up front?

Re: STUPID QUESTION!
Just call the hotels that you want to block rooms at and speak to the event manager. They will tell you what you need to do. Every hotel is a little different.
We blocked 20 rooms at the Hampton Inn Brookhaven, we signed a contract and we didn't need to pay any money. They released the rooms one month before the wedding. That all was on the card that went in the invites. We ended up with 48 rooms total

Re: STUPID QUESTION!
No question is stupid. As was posted previously, you just go and meet with the hotel and sign a contract. Most of the big chain hotels do not require you to be financially repsonsible for the empty rooms not booked, but some of the smaller ones attached with RH may. Just ask around and meet with the hotel manager when you set up the meetings!
Good luck!

Re: STUPID QUESTION!
Find out if your RH recommends a hotel. Mine does and they provide a shuttle for my guests if I book a certain # of rooms.
