I know that tradition is something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Can my something old be the same thing as my some thing borrowed?

Yep say you borrowed something old from grandma that counts for both

Re: stupid question
my dad died when I was 4 and he had this cross tie pin. I plan on getting a bouquet locket to put a pic of my dad in it. So I figured I could borrow the cross tie pin of my dads from my brother and use it to clip the ribbon of the locket to the bouquet.

Re: stupid question
I feel like it's cheating to have old and blue be the same item, or old and borrowed....
It's difficult, becuase I'm borrowing my mom's 'old' pearls, and also wearing a sapphire ring I inhereted from my Oma (old and blue), but I really want 3 seperate items for old, borrowed, and blue. I'm trying to avoid the blue garter, because to me, if you can't see it, it shouldn't count...
I think I need something else for old or blue....

The last one should be something blue not new.

Re: stupid question
YES!!!! Brides do this all the time -- its very hard to come up with all 4 that dont overlap.
And I think using your dad's old cross is a beautiful idea.
