This may seem like a stupid question (and maybe obvious for some that are 'wedding experts), but I am kind of clueless...
Does the RH usually require you to pay for the heads of your DJ, Photographer, and Videographer since I am assuming they will eat some food ? Do they go into your head count?

Re: Stupid question...
I think it depends on your RH, but mine includes them as a vendor count and you pay a discounted price--same with kids if you have any invited

Re: Stupid question...
Some halls make you pay for them to eat the full meal....as in count them in..and others will allow you to give them a sandwhich or something....but you do have to count them in...most vendors in their contract say they must get food....i know my friend at her place if they were a vendor of the hall they were discounted, if not they had to pay full price for their meals...

Re: Stupid question...
Usually how it works is if you do not hit your guaranteed number you can add them on so you don’t lose money. If you do hit the guarantee depending on your RH they could be free if they are on there in-house vendor list, if they are not a lot of places are 1/2 for vendors.

Re: Stupid question...
My hall gives free meals to 'house vendors' which means they are recommended by our hall, and we arent charged for their meal. For other vendors we pay 1/2 price for them to eat. Luckily our band is a house vendor because it saves us a lot of $$$!

Re: Stupid question...
My RH lets them eat for half price. But if you are short for your minimum, they will let you count the vendors

Re: Stupid question...
Hey I'm getting married at their sister hall (windows on the lake). I am using their package with their house vendors. I never asked about feeding them. I hope since they are the house vendors I dont have to.

my RH gives vendors 1/3 off... however i did not meet my minimum so i had to use the vendors in my headcount..so basically i paid full price for them.

Re: Stupid question...
Our vendors get a discounted price for their dinners but it has to be over the minimum head count (in other words, they dont count as guests in the minimum)

Re: Stupid question...
Usually when you sign the contract with RH...they include that information...in addition if you have children attending they are suppose to include that information as well...in my RH...vendors were actually counted in the head count and I did have to pay for them...children were 1/2 off...
Good Luck
