Stupid Question

So I know this is a stupid question. I have been to a number of weddings and I cant' remember the order of things. So can someone tell me the order of things at the reception??? We have the BP entrance and entrance... then what? Do we have the first dance right away?? When are the other dances? Bok toss? Garter belt toss etc??? Please share.

I am not super traditional so if someone else has done in it a different order that worked really well please share. I want people up and dancing for the most part... this is a Celebration!!!

i think its really up to you, but we did

grandparents and parents entrance

bp entrance

then entrance


then we did our 1st dance about 1 hours later we did our parent dances

then half way throught the recpetion we did throwing the bok and removing the garter , and garter toss,

then th last hour of the reception we cut the cake,

Typically your DJ and MD coordinate these things together...

But I would say after the BP and B&G entrance, you go right into your first dance.

I THINK BoK & Garter toss are right after cake..which is usuallly after dinner is done.

I'm not 100% sure about when the MOG& son/FOB&daughter dances are...I would speak with the DJ though.
