My home computer wasn't making any connections this morning.I wanted to check my e-mails and it couldn't connect.I tried to look up anything on the web and had the same problem.I was looking at all the wires thinking maybe one of the two cats disconnected something accidently but everything looked fine.What do you think it sounds like?

Do you have DSL or a dial up modem? I have DSL and have had times where it didn't connect but connected when I re-booted.

I was gonna say reboot too. SOmetimes your modem (if you have cable) doesn't connect for one reason or another. Rebooting usually works for me. Or the problem could be on their side.

I did that.I turned it off and on a few times and still couldn't get a connection.

I am BAD with computers.Do you mean the mouse? no.The whole computer is connected with wires.

You have a cable connection, ok chances are its not wireless... on your modem there should be a green light on .. is it blinking? or is it red?

if its a steady green you have to call optimum support.. if its blinking then it could be a problem with your pc.. have you unplugged your modem and plugged it back in?

November I sent you FM but I see you already did what I suggested. Definitely call Optimum for support like Suzanne said...rather than drive yourself crazy, they should be able to walk you through some things to help!

Thanks. I tried to shut it down and restart it this morning and it still wasn't working. If its still messed up when I get home tonight then I will call them.I hate to call them because it takes about 30 minutes to get a person! Why don't they hire more people?

If it's not fixed by the time you get home and they say there isn't a problem, try unplugging the moden and replugging it in. We have troubles with that here at my work sometimes and sometimes that solves the problem.
