I believe youswitch it to the right ring finger that day! (which is also where I plan on wearing mine after the wedding since I don't think I want a matching band...)
I'm pretty sure it's the ring finger on the right hand.
I've also heard of brides who had someone hold their engagement ring during the ceremony!
we don't have a ringbearer. Thanks!
he might lose it!! Give them to the best man to hold. As for your engagement ring, put it on your right hand before you walk down the aisle!! And then after you walk down the aisle or in the limo, put it back on the left ring finger!!!
If you have more then one wedding band, have the best man get all the rings blessed and then have him put the everyday one in his pocket until after the ceremony. That's what I did and then I wore it on my right hand during the rest of the day/night!
Can i give his ring to my MOH to hold and mine to BM?? is that the norm? or should BM hold both rings?
Usually the Best Man holds both rings since he has pockets! Otherwise, where would your BM put the ring? Plus she has the flowers to hold on to. It's totally up to you what you decide to do. IMHO, I think it was much easier to give the best man all the rings and not have to worry about anybody forgetting (or losing) them!!!
I'll have to give my e-ring to someone to hold since it doesn't fit on my right hand. I'll just put it back on after the ceremony.
Our priest told us a horror story about giving the rings to the ring bearer. The kid got bored and tied the strings up in knots - they had to get a scissor and cut the rings loose during the ceremony. That's why they tell you not to give the RB's the real rings
on my right hand so my MOH will be wearing mine on her right hand since we have always been told it is bad luck to wear someone else's ring on your ring finger..
who knows..
