We are having a house inspected on Sunday. It has 2 decks. If there is snow covering them how can they be inspected? Or anything else that's outside for that matter.

Re: stupid question- snow & house inspection
our home was inspected 1/27 (5 days after the major storm). he inspected the attic and was able to view roof the roof line from the outside, but not able to go on the roof. the snow pretty much covered the foundation as well and he did his best to inspect. he said that if we wanted, he could come back once the snow melted.

Yep they can come back to look at the roof. We need to have this done as well if it will ever stop snowing LOL

Thanks! I'm sure I would have to pay him extra to come back.

We had an inspection done today. I didn't go but DH said that the inspector saw everthing that he needed to see.
Who knows, this weather is so wacky, it might be really warm tomorrow and the snow will melt!

Our inspector wasn't able to go on the roof because of snow and we ended up having a leak and had to have half the roof replaced. Make sure that they go back and check it out after the snow is gone.

Our inspector could not see everything either. Including the roof and driveway. In our contract money will be held in escrow until proven that all are working properly.
