i have a really stupid question... if you're just renting a space, like a museum or something, and hire a caterer. does the caterer provide tables/chairs/tablewares?? or do u have to rent them separately??
i know this is sort of like a common sense question, but i really have no clue.... thanks!!!

Re: Stupid Question - Tables and Chairs??
You have to ask. They may and they may not. If you are using an outside cater, make sure they put that in the contract.

So not a tupid question! It acutally depends on the place, so your best bet would be to ask. I was looking into renting a loft and a small museum downtown and had to bring in my own tables and chairs for both, but it depends on the place.

thanks girls for your always fast and helpful responses!!
now, if the caterer can provide them, how does the charge go? it would be a per person food price + per chair price (i think the space said they can provide whatever tables they have) + linens + tablewares???

Yup, at least the caterers I was contacting said this was the way. They charge pp for food and then a general price for everything else - linens, silverware, barware, tables, chairs, etc.
