...there is this guy at work who is freaking stalking me its crazy!! i cant take this anymore!!! He somehow found the phone number I have on file with the company and has been sending me text messages and calling me for the past 2 weeks...he is like 'hey baby, i know its gaby, just answer your phone, i want to get to know you blah blah blah....' The worst is the bench i am working on this week is right in front of a HUGE glass window that looks into the lab that EVERYONE has to walk down to get to a bunch of the main departments...this guy walks by and smiles, taps on the glass, stands there and tried to talk to me...I cant get my work done bc i am so worried and my stomach turns everytime i see this stupid guy. I cant take this anymore....
sorry guys i needed to vent and get this out...I havent told FH about this stalker guy bc i am afraid FH would stake out the parking lot and kill him when he see's him, i want FH on the altar with me, not in prison...

i would def. bring this up to HR. because techinally what he is doing is sexual harrassment, and i am sure your company does not stand for that. i would say something to them, before it gets worse.

Seriously, sorry to hear this, maybe you should have a talk with this guy, calling your phone is way of line. Let him quiet frankly that you have no interest in him and that he should leave you alone. If that does not work you may have to take it up with management. You never know what people are thinking. It could really bad. I wish you good luck.
I remember this happen to me a long time ago, except I didn't know who it was, he would leave letters at my job telling me that we were meanth to be together and all sorts of things. It was scary since I would have to walk home after dark.
I hope your stalker is not too much of a psycho. I hope he leaves you alone.

Gaby , seriously you should bring this to HR, because this guy should not have access to your file to get your phone number, that is a violation of your file and also he should not be harassing you

Thanks for the support girls!! I am going to say something to him the next time he taps on the glass to PLEASE leave me alone, if he keeps going I am going to HR to file a major complaint aainst him. Thanks again girls!!!

GABY--- dont take this lightly... people are insane and you dont want to chance ANYTHING.. i dont mean to scare you but you should definitely report him. especially if he went into your personal file and got your phone number.. and im sure you SS# is in that file as well.. who knows what else this guy got his hands on. its harassment and theres no reason why you should feel uncomfortable at your job. God forbid this guy follows you out to your car one night after work.. PLEASE tell HR!!!!!

you def need to report this because it is sooo creepy! i've had something like this happened to be me before where i used to work in a store at the mall and all of a sudden i would get packages delivered to my job with roses and random gifts etc I WAS SOO SCARED....the worst thing is that i didn't know who this person was. He would always sign as 'STEWIE' i had to quit that job and of course I did report this but since we didn't know who it was it didn't help

Don't speak to him....you're giving him what he wants and that's your attention. PLEASE report him and save all the texts message and voice messages. If HR doesn't handle the situation you have to make a police report of harassment

This can be very serious. Do not brush something like this off. Be firm with this guy and tell him your getting married and not interested. I kept ignoring what I though was an innocent crush from this guy. In a way I was flattered even though I loved my boyfriend. Then came phone calls and they were all hours of the night. The messages got angry and he called me a 'slutty tease' etc.
Then he came to my house (not hard to get sombodies adress) first he sat outside I didn't even know he was there. Then left letters and slashed my ties among other things... I had to involve the police to end it. To this day I have nightmares and I am scared he will re- contact me. I have a security guard walk me to my car at night sometimes and it's been years.

You need to move on this quickly. This is serious, it's sexual harassment and can turn into a major problem, you really need to alert the appropriate person at your job right away. They have a responsibility to intervene and depending on the job sometimes you have a responsibility to report it promptly as well (I do at my job as per our policy). You don't know what kind of nut this guy could be and what will happen if he shows up at your house or something, tells your FH something is actually going on with you guys, or something worse? Don't wait for him to do something else... that way, tell them now, and the next time he does tap on the glass or do something like that, they might fire him.

I am going to chime in with the smart ladies of LIW: Go to HR. NOW.
Go to them, show them the messages.... this isn't something you should have to handle yourself.
He accessed your phone number from a file?! That's a big no-no, and you should call the three credit reporting agencies to put an identity theft alert on your account, since he could also have your SS # and address.
