stupid stupid stupid

the STUPID MRI i got shows a new lesion in my frontal lobe

which mean my meds aren't controlling the MS

I'm not even sad, just really Pi$$ed Off ( and ok a little scared)


it explain why i felt so crappy this summer

so now what do they do? adjust the meds and hope it controls new lesions from forming?

i'm on a once a week shot, which HAS slowed down the progression, however I've had 4 small relapses in the 6 years since i was diagnosed

so my neurologist doesn't feel like she is controlling my disease

she wants to my on a med call Tysabri, a once a month infusion that I am TERRIFIED OF BEING ON

it was pulled off the market cause people died
now it's back, but its still heavy duty stuff

I really really really dont want to be on it, but apparently my current medicine is not slowing down the lesions enough

I'm so sorry to hear this

What else can they do??

i was also almost on a once a month intravenous drug for my crohn's that wasn't pulled called remicade but also caused some deaths. i've avoided it so far.

remember not everyone has the same reaction. it could really work for you.

my heart goes out for you. stay positive. that's the best medicine.

yeah- im trying not to think of it, hopefully my doctor just waits and see's what happens in 6 months
but she is an aggressive doctor
she know more lesions means more disability in the long run... but i'm more concerned about my quality of life in terms of mental health LOL
