i am doing my program in word and have 2 columns - how do i start writing on the second one?

There may be an easier way to do this, but I just keep hitting enter until it brings me to the next column. Then I start typing. There's GOT to be a better way, but that's what I do

i THINK you can double-click on the second column and it'll put the mouse cursor over there ....
if not, the 'many enter-keys' is the only other solution that i know of
