I know this is going to be a stupid question to ask but do you give your inviation to your parents and bridal party? I understand if they wanna keep it for memories but is it customary to give an invite to your parents and brial party even though they know they are already invited (since they are in your party).
Yeah I know I should be clobbered for that. LOL

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
If your parents are paying for the wedding they don't get one because they are the hosts. You do send them to your BP.

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
Thanks I figure that much. Just that even though I have a huge family, I am planning to do the invites based on household. In other words, I don't wanna give 2 invites to the same house (i.e. my grandma, cousin, and his girlfriend who is one of my bridemaids living together, ditto with my aunt and cousins, one of them is also one of my bridemaids)

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
yeah ...i would still give to parents even if they are hosts because I know my mom is going to want to keep my invitation for memories sake...just like she kept my diplomas, handmade cards and the one craft that survived our house fire...a 'nutcracker' ornament made out of a tissue paper roll and some construction paper

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
Like I said... thank you everyone!
I do have another question... when doing invites in general, should I base it on household?
I know... silly questions but hey I rather do this right than come across as cheap.

it does go to the house, on the outside you can write the couples name or SMith family and the inner envelope you write down all the names of those you are inviting, if you are inviting their kid though that is 18 and over they usually get their own invite

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
My cousin lumped me, FH , and my parents together in 1 invitation and i thought it was really cheap-looking of her... If they are over 18, they most certainly should get their own invite!

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
mental note to myself: must order 100 invites!

Even though my parents are paying for (most) of the wedding, I will send them an invite. How could I not? My mom would be so upset!

Re: Stupidest Question Ever
I sending it by household, even if my cousins are over 18. I dont see how that would make sense to send 3 invites to the same house
I think half of my older cousins are still living with their parents. That would mean I would need to order like 200 invites for 120 people!
