I went to Commack
and it is a very GOOD school district



I did too and I agree that it is a great district. The prices of houses in that area reflect that. I am confused as to why it is on the bottom of that list though

I used to work in Admissions at an ivy league school, and they recruited most heavily in Suffolk at Ward Melville and Smithtown--these areas had students applying with the most AP classes, and the greatest number of National Merit Scholars, Intel Science competition winners, and AP scholars. That said, I don't think the school needs to be ranked as highest for a child to succeed--often students flourish in schools where the competition is not quite so cut throat...

I graduated from Sayville HS and it was awful! Mediocre everything. Safe, yes, but challenging, no.

Yep - too far!! I'll only go to Wading River for one reason: thats where ADA Studios is - hey, I gotta pick up my wedding albums!!!
