Suffolk County, therapist recommendation

Suffolk County, therapist recommendation

One of my best friend's is going through some difficult issues with her parents (she's dealing with years of trauma), she wants to see a therapist, but I have no idea who to recommend; I have an MSW, but I'm not practicing and therefore not involved in that community, so I'm out of the loop completely.

Any recommendations?

Well, my FI sees a Ph.D in Smithtown and he has an office I believe in the Hamptons. But it's a male doc and not sure if your friend would prefer a female therpist.
