Sugar Magnolias ??

Anyone used or heard of Sugar Magnolias? They are a small florist in Stony Brook that only does weddings. I just went for an interview/estimate and it turns out that I know the woman who started the business from high school I am excited and we totally hit it off, but wanted to check to see if anyone else had used them or had any thoughts! (you ladies are the best references ever, and you always have such good advice!)

I know Cindy really wanted to book them, but they were already booked for her date. They have a very good reputation. Do a search on the board for them. I am sure lots of info will come up.

I know CarrieAnn used Sugar Magnolias this past October.

My friend used them for her wedding last July at the Old Field Club and her flowers were gorgeous.

Yes, I went to book them but they were too booked for my date. Heidi did recommend me to someone she works with, Nancy that works out of her home and I was very happy. Good luck!!

I used Heidi for my wedding in Oct. She did a wondeful job! She's not cheap, but her arrangements were above and beyond what we expected. She was a pleasure to work with. I'll try and post some pics....

I booked with Heidi from Sugar Magnolias. She is a pleasure to work with and very creative.

She is a friend of my sister in laws and did the flowers for my brothers wedding.

After meeting with her I booked her immediately!

We are using Heidi for our June wedding. I thought she was great and very easy to get along with. She listened to all my ideas and was very reseptive (lots of the other florists i met with weren't). I'm very exciting to see what she does and I'm positive I'll love it : ).

Heidi was great when I called her after receiving my proposal to tell her something was missing that we talked about and she said it would be added to the final proposal and they would be no charge!

ps: my SIL has been a great help. both my flowers & invites are through friends of hers.
