Re: Suggested Donation Amount for Churches?
my church wants $600.00 I couldn't believe that they even told that was there 'fee' but they can't charge a 'fee' that is against the church law I will give them less that is way to much

Re: Suggested Donation Amount for Churches?
Mine was $200. My priest also said that compromises can be made because the money shouldn't be the most important thing.
Hope that helps!

Re: Suggested Donation Amount for Churches?
I haven't asked an amount...I was told to be 'generous' and since we have started meeting (in October) the Monsignor has not ever once mentioned an amount, just 'be generous' he does say that EVERY TIME- as such, we are probably donating $500 (plus the $125 for the organist and we're leaving altar arrangements).
It's still cheaper than paying a fee at the hall and paying a minister - that cold top $1k, so we're not complaining (although wouldn't free be nice?!).

Re: Suggested Donation Amount for Churches?
Our church had a price taged onto the 'donation' which was $400 even. Don't forget, this is a 'donation' so write it off when tax season comes.
