So for my hall, they suggest $3-$7 per person gratuity which is split amongst the Maitre D, waitstaff, and kitchen staff (they will even give us a breakout of how it's divided up so we know who gets what).
My question is, how much are you girls planning on giving? We were thinking right in the middle ($5 per head), but I was wondering what's the norm.

I would agree with that and say $5. We haven't even looked at this issue yet haha but I was thinking that was norm? maybe I am wrong lol

I just feel like less is not enough and more is A LOT! But we'll see. We do want to see the breakout though because if the MD is not getting what we want him to get, we're gonna give him a little more. He's done so much for us so far.

yeah $7 just seems like A LOT! and imo if you have a great MD I would tip him a little more too, like you said. that's like our BM - I want to give him a little extra becuase he has been so great.
