When checking out a vendor, don't just look at the BBB...also check the department of consumer affairs. A friend of mine who is getting married told me tonight that she was going to seriously consider a vendor who had a decent BBB rating, but when she checked w/ the department of consumer affairs she learned of some disasters. That is where all of the serious issues are handled. BBB is really nothing w/ nothing. I make it a habit to always check.

Unfortunately you would have to call...and it's a county office. So you would have to contact the county office that your vendor is licensed in. It's in the blue pages of the white pages directory. They have web sites, but you can't check anything on that...just download forms .
