OK - so I love my dad for who he is, but we haven't always had the best relationship in the world. Out of respect (and because I don't want to send the wrong message to him or our guests) I'll do the obligatory father-daughter dance with him. I'm struggling with the song. I don't want it to be too mushy - or say anything like I wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. He's a huge Beatles fan, and I was thinking about 'My Life', but even that says too much. Any suggestions?

What about 'Through the Years' or 'Times of your life'
They're kind of about your life and how you've gone through the years and have grown up....JMO.

What about Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonders. I attended my friend's wedding this weekend and that was the song, which I thought was nice.

What about a song like Forever Young by Rod Stewart. My friends sister danced to this with her dad at her wedding and I thought it was such a cool, different and upbeat song to dance to and there is no reference to being a daddys girl in it!!

I am also not 'mushy' with my dad - and I did 'In My Life' My dad is also a huge Beatles fan - don't read too much into the words - he prob won't pay attention to the words but will be touched that you picked a Beatles song.

I like 'Unforgetable.' I don't think it is too mushy. I am going to dance to it with my uncle because my father passed away. I think it can mean a lot of things to different people.
