Suggestions on Invitation Labels or Calligraphy?

Any recommendations/suggestions for addressing wedding invitations? I've been quoted $1.25 or $1.50 per outer enevelope....with the amount of invitations we are sending out it's going to cost us another $350....

Is it tacky to use clear mailing labels in a nice font?

Personally, I don't think that labels belong on an invitation.

i think it's fine. hell, i think you can even use white/colored labels if you make them go with your theme and look nice enough. it's your wedding. i'd personally rather put the money towards something else - like dj, food, flowers, etc. it's up to you! hth!

We ran our envelopes thru our printer and used a calligraphy font. It was great b/c we addressed them in purple to match our return address that was already printed on the back and invitation.

i prefer using a calligrapher.... they're not all as expensive as one might think. otherwise, i prefer printing directly on the envelopes.

as low as 0.25 per envelope for good handwriting... Then, you can maintain the formality, without blowing your budget!

Personlly, I think labels are inappropriate for a wedding invitation.

I did clear labels (2' x 4'). Luckily for me I have found the exact same font that was on my invites and the outer envelope return address. Honestly, calligraphy is nicer of course, but i was on a budget and they came out fine!!!

I would say before you think about using labels, that printing the addresses would be better...Ive seen some real nice calligraphy people had when they did this...OR handwrite them yourself

I printed them directly from my comp printer onto the envelope.. it was very easy and came out great. I personally dont think its worth it to pay a lot of money for someone to hand write them, because they will be thrown out
