Anyone have ideas for the color (or type) of suit for FH and groomsmen for a morning wedding? The ceremony is at 11:30 am.
FH was going to do black, but finding that it is hard to get one b/c there are not many styles that fit him and his father said people don't usually wear black suits.
Everything that we read says that tuxedos are not appropriate for morning weddings. And unfortunately, FH doesn't like the traditional morning suits. I like them though.

Well you dont have to go by something a book said about not wearing tuxes in the morn , that is a perfectly fine look for any time of the day. How about a beige suit?

do whatever you want! we had a morning wedding and we had DH in a black tux---with platinum vest and the guys were in black tuxes with plum colored vests and ties.

our ceremony is at 12 and we are doing tuxes. We wanted to rent suits from the tux shop and they said tux is FINE for a morning wedding.
It's your wedding and weddings are formal events....unless of course its an informal casual wedding
EST- brides dont wear less formal dresses for day weddings so he can be formal too

We didn't follow anything people said we're 'supposed' to do. We're having a morning ceremony too and the boys are all wearing black tuxes.

technically for a morning wedding, traditional etiquette calls for a morning suit...particularly if you're getting married at a church.

Sigh. I love morning suits too. But FH doesn't and he is getting mad at me b/c I keep insisting on it

how about a dark gray or Navy suit.
FH is going to wear a suit to our sunday am wedding.
