my fh wants him and his groomsmen to wear suits for the wedding simply because he feels more comfortable in it. there is no rule stating this is not allowed is there?

Re: suits verses tuxedos
there are no rules for anything - this is your day, you can do it any way you like.
My FH is wearing a suit, possibly with an open neck shirt - I am going casual-chic. Even if there was a 'rule' I would break it - I HATE tuxedos!

I say go for it...it is both of your day. Do what makes you both comfortable and forget about 'rules'. Each person's wedding is special and unique...there are no rules.

FH is thinking about this as well...I say let them feel comfortable in what they want......he should do what he wants...forget about what 'society' says is right

we ended up choosing suites too. It just looks better. Actually, we kinda did it backwards. FI will be wearing a suit, and the rest of the BP will be wearing tuxes..
