Summer Brides

What is your color scheme?

I really wanted to do a red/gold/cream theme but everyone keeps telling me not to do red in august and I haven't found any light gold dresses I like.

Why is red bad for August?

I still haven't picked BM dresses, but that's one of the shades I was thinking of.

Do whatever colors you like, its YOUR wedding! I was thinking of black and pink, and I'm sure people will tell me black is not a summer color, but who cares.

Rose, light pink, and ivory. You can do red in august I would just leave out the gold becuase then it would look too fall.

My colors are lavender and yellow. Pick whatever colors you love. Red will be fine if that is what you want. It's your wedding and you need to be happy.

I liked reds, golds and browns. Some people were telling me NO because of the summer. The truth is, this is your wedding and you will be looking at the pictures. You should do something that you like, not something that you are supposed to do. Who cares what season it is. If you like red go with red.

I went with this dress in a shade lighter.

My colors are various shades of pink and white. I think red is okay for August, but maybe if you mostly focus on the cream and gold and then just have accents of red?

I want to do the same exact colors and am having the same issues!!!!!

I hear you! We are having pink bridesmaid dresses and the MOB/MOG/GOB in silver. I originally wanted pale blue but could not find any dresses for the bridesmaids in a color blue that was flattering to everyone.

my girls will be wearing a burgandy/wine color.....and my centerpieces are lavendar, with black magic roses and circus roses (red/yellow).

red is fine for august, its your day.. do what makes you happy! my girls are also wearing burgandy/wine and my centerpeices will be a combo of black magics and deep purples and reds.

My wedding is June and my colors are a deep burgundy and a bright fuschia...and everyone was telling me not to do a deep burgundy and I love that color...so thats what I'm going with, and if you love your colors you should too!!!

Pink BM dresses and pink flowers for me and BM's.

That's where the pink stops. The CP's will be tall white calas and favors are donations, so no color scheme there.

I went to a wedding in early September last year and the BM's wore red. I think it looked very pretty and not at all inappropriate.

I was going to go with red but everyone told me the same thing. I changed to different shades of purple.
