Summer brides-honeymoon

I left booking a honeymoon up to FH and now 3 months til our wedding we do not have a honeymoon booked. I would like to go right after our wedding so mid July but am worried about the weather. I was thinking St. Lucia, DR, Aruba, Mexico or Jamaica. I have never been to any of these places but from what I hear it may be the rainy season and could also be unbearably hot. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions. I want to book something ASAP. Please help, especially from those of you who have been to any of these places during July.

Your best bet is probably Aruba, the weather is always warm and it’s under the hurricane belt. FH and I go there every year for vacation and we stay at the Riu Palace. Compared to the other islands you where asking about it’s the safest. You can leave the hotel grounds and walk around town, take the bus (really cheap and convenient) and walk on the strip. If we haven’t vacationed in Aruba yearly, we would have gone there on our honeymoon.

None of the places are adults only, are there alot of kids there? I just want to make sure that it feels like we are on our honeymoon. Just like you, most people have said they have been there a few times which is also making me feel like its a great place for a vaca but not so much a romantic honeymoon. Is the Rui palace all inclusive, does it make sense to do all inclusive in Aruba, I know with Sandals there are activities included and you can stay at one and play at the other sandals.
