My dh usually works as the summer school librarian at his school. Not this year. He has also worked at Borders in the summer. He'll probably take this summer off - he's spent the last 2 in furthering ed classes (or whatever they're called lol)

that is such a great summer job for me (an English teacher).. librarian... does he have certification for it?
I am trying to waitress/hostess, applied as a specialist for a day camp (theatre) and other odd jobs including a live out elder care associate!

yeah, he has the cert. and the masters and all that kind of stuff. It just went to someone the super (or whoever) liked better Whatever LOL!!! I think he's gonna enjoy all his time off though.

That theatre day camp sounds interesting! I started out as a theatre major. Now, I am an English teacher and I will be teaching summer school to sixth graders in the school district where I have my leave replacement position.

me too! teaching self-contained special ed. just drains me... i NEED the summer to regroup.
but i am taking a few classes for my next salry differential. it will bump my salary more than i would have made this summer, so it helped me feel less bad about not working!

I'm not a teacher anymore, but when I was teaching, I picked up Mary Kay to make some extra cash and it was so good that I've stuck with it for almost 4 years now! It's a great way to make money anytime of the year!!
