So my FH last name is officially Cali as of last Monday. This was his mother's maiden name and he has always been a Cali. He changed it to honor his late mother and to pass on the name to me and our future family. Last names are carried on generation after generation but sometimes people don't like their last name. My question is
If you could pick one last name out of all of them in your family or your FH's family, what would it be and why?
Have fun with this! Enjoy your day!

I love my future last name its Kwaak but pronounced Quauk
However when we were deciding names for our son we tossed around the idea of changing our names to his Maternal Grandparents last name because there is no one to carry on that name after they die which is sad but my FH did not want to hurt his father's feeling so we decided to stay with his current last name

I would say either FH's last name (O'Connor) or my aunt's last name (Clarke). The are both just very common and easy to pronounce. Not to say that I don't love my last name - but I can't even count how many mispronunciations I have gotten for it over the years. It's going to be nice to have a last name I don't have to explain how to pronounce LOL

I love my last name and am not changing. We toyed with FH taking mine, since his brother already has two sons (well, 1 is on the way) and his mom had a hissy fit. My sister, my cousin (girl), and I are the last of us...I really wanted to bring it down

I'd still pick FH's name. The only other option would be to keep mine - I like both of our names best out of everyone else's in my family (we all have really long last names hah). In the end, we're going with his last name

I love my last name, Nicholas! I think it's classic and very easy for people to spell and pronounce. I am taking FH's name which will be hard to spell and pronounce, Faraci. But if we have a boy we plan on naming him Nicholas!

I hate my last name of EISENBERG. Growing up I wish I'd had my mom's last name when she remarried but she did the right think by keeping my father's name. Us not having the same was odd.
My FH has a really nice last name but I am taking it more for formal/family reasons. Not that I wouldn't love to take his name but my daughter was adopted with my name and I wont let her have a different name than me. It's special because it was the first and only name ever given to her with intent. So I'm going for the hyphen.
