When you go to a hotel to block rooms for your OOT guests, are you blocking rooms for sat night or sunday night? I would think sat night because they have to be at the ceremony so early. What do you ladies think?

I dont think i'll be blocking rooms b/c we really dont have OOT'ers... butttttt If i was going to, i'd do it for sat night... no reason for them to stay over on sun night... they have plenty of time to get home after the wedding...

Re: Sunday Afternoon Brides
We have a bunch of OOTers and reserved rooms for both nights. We have 20 rooms booked so far, and almost all are for both nights. One friend if just staying one night, but she's spending the other night with a family member in the NY area. A local BM reserved a room just in case some of my friends want to spend the night there (it can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior i believe).
blocking rooms shouldnt cost you anything, so best to give guests as much flexibility as possible
Edit: Many of our OOT guests are not in driving distance and will be flying -- our guests who live within a 2 hour drive are mainly older family members who will be driving home the night of

Book both, and they can have the option of either or both. I booked three nights for my guests, in case they make a weekend out of it (Mem Day)

I blocked rooms for both nights. So far we have more rooms booked for Sunday night than Saturday which I didn't expect!! We blocked 13 for Sat and 10 for Sun. I would talk to your OOT guests and ask them first though...we asked to get a general idea first and that's how we found out that our relatives were thinking of staying through Monday morning. We are also doing a post-nuptial breakfast and an after-party so that might have had something to do with it...
