If you had a sunday afternoon or are planning on it - what color tuxedos are the guys wearing? FH thinks that black is the standard but im really liking the color of khaki... please share

khaki is nice and beachy but i prefer black tuxedos

If you are outdoors during the day, I think the lighter color looks nicer. There are some really amazing khaki tuxes out now.

I didn't want black, I wanted brown suits but FH said he wears a suit to work everyday and he wants tuxes, so we went with black tuxes, que sera.

we got married on a sunday morning/afternoon--we only had three guys in our wedding party, but they wore khaki suits. when we told people we were doing it, they really thought we were crazy and we heard an earful about it, but then everybody thought it looked awesome. besides the flowers, the thing i heard the most compliments about was DH's suit! i definitely like the lighter look for a daytime wedding!

FH and I just bought a gorgeous Italian Designer Suit at outlet-like shop in Brooklyn. (Garage Clothing Stillwell and Avenue S) Total Vendor Rave!!! Great place great people, I was so pleasantly surprised. The sales guy just looked at FH picked his size and cut perfectly.
Our wedding is outdoors, tented, vineyard, daytime. I didn't want black and FH thinks khaki or white suits are girly... so we went with Navy and I totally love the suit.
I'd go with Navy

I love khaki BUT make sure it doesn't clash with your dress. Depending on the shade of white...it may not look right

How about morning suits? They are so sharp and are appropriate for daytime weddings.

I am in a similar situation. Ours is later on Sunday though. I was at my bf 's wedding in Hawaii and the guys all wore khaki except the groom who wore black. I actually liked it. But I am leaving it up to FH to decide that and so far he seems to like the traditional black. Mine is an indoor/outdoor ceremony/reception (of course depending on the weather. ) SO I could see the khaki being a better pick if it is going to be outside a lot. I guess it also depends on how formal it is. If it is formal I would definitely stick with black... otherwise you can go either way. FH is wearing it (and his friends) so I would say what he wants most is probably your best bet... jmo HTH!!
