I really want to have my wedding on a Sunday because RH prices are so much lower on a Sunday, but I also kinda want to be married in a church. Do you think that there are churches that will do a wedding ceremony on a Sunday, and if so what time does it usually start? Please help, any input would really help me a lot. Thanks girls!

Re: Sunday Brides....
most churches should do a ceremony on sunday. you will be more limited with times though. i know my church will do an 11, 2 or 3, and a 5:15 on saturday, but on sunday, they will only do a 4.

Re: Sunday Brides....
of course churches will marry you on a Sunday!! traditionally, thats the day youre supposed to get married!! it cant be early though because they need to have mass so i guess it varies from church to church but i would say that around 12 would be the earliest, but call churches and ask! HTH

My church is letting me do it on Sun at 3:45....keep in mind to that they also do Baptisms on Sunday and that may interfere with the wedding time...that's what happened to me. I would talk to the church before you book a rh...

i agree, def talk to your church first before you book your hall just to be safe. another option you could do is a saturday afternoon

Re: Sunday Brides....
Definitely look into your church, this was an option for me at first, but then my church said only a 4pm on sunday so my reception would have to start around 6pm and i found the difference of a sunday night wedding compared to a saturday to be minimal.

Re: Sunday Brides....
the masses start later. That should be ok though cuz most reception halls allow you to start your cocktail hour at whatever time u want on sunday since there is no event after or before.

Re: Sunday Brides....
I am getting married on a Sunday at at RC church and they are marrying us after mass is over. The ceremony will probably start around 3 and the reception is scheduled for 6. This allows enough time for people to get to the hall without rushing. Im sure there are plenty of churches that will marry you but it will most likely be in the afternoon after service is over.

Re: Sunday Brides....
I am also getting married on a Sunday at a RC church - granted - it's Memorial Day weekend - but that doesnt usually matter in the eyes of the church. Our ceremony is at 3:30 (with mass) and the reception starts at 6:30...
