Sunday Church Wedding?

Hey ladies! Starting to think about starting the church/venue hunt. We are looking to get married the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend mostly to save $ but we're concerned the Catholic Church won't do a marriage mass on Sunday. I'm afraid to call them for fear of them and asking for fear of them yelling at me lol. My family belongs to Christ the King and FH's is St Anthony's in East Northport so it's pretty much between those two. Neither if them does mass on Sunday after 12:30 so why shouldn't they do weddings for a 2 or 3:00? Our plan is to crash a wedding at each of them to see if we like the way they do the mass differently and go from there. Anyone with any insights? Thanks!

Sunday Church Wedding? - Long Island Weddings

I'm getting married the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend of this year! We are having our ceremony at St. Pats in Bay Shore and it will be at 2:30 which is after their Sunday masses. Just a heads up some venues were considering this day as a Saturday. I was lucky enough that the venue we fell in love with gave us Sunday prices!

Thanks for the replies ladies! This makes me feel 10x better about it and I'm a lot less scared to call them. I'll probably call this week just to get a feel from them. Going to start the venue search this summer can't wait!

I got married the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend at St. Pat's in Bay Shore at 4:00 p.m. We had a full mass, but had to be finished with our mass before 5:30 because they had a mass at that time. But St. Pat's is awesome and let us stay and take pics outside and inside the church while they were doing the 5:30 mass (they have a beautiful staircase just inside the doors before you go through another set of doors to go into the church).
