We're getting married the day before Labor Day. So far all we have booked is the RH and we got a great deal because its a Sunday.

I'm not getting married a holiday weekend, I could have, but everyone was against it-close family and friends. They say how incoveniant it is and how holiday weekends should be spent doing what they want and not going to a wedding.

everyone always has opinions....

but i asked my co-worker who got married on a holiday and she said there were no deals beacuse it's just as busy as any other day.

Normally I would not have had a wedding on a holdiday weekend - but this is president's day, and it is not like people do stuff on that day for religion or usually throw big family parties. Everyone we know has off from work, but, except for the skiiers, people usually just hang out and shop.

just got a bridal tip emailed to me and it was about saving $$ by picking an 'off day' for the wedding and mentioned friday night and early sunday so I guess it's days of the week and times and not what holiday it is near for the most part

We are getting married 4th of July weekend and I think we got a pretty good deal from other RH's we looked at. As far as convience it is 4 days after my bday and my family usually come to my house for our big annual bbq's so it shouldn't be a big problem and its also 4 days after my bday so thats another reason why they will come!

We're getting married on the Sunday of Labor day weekend. We're actually paying more then a normal Sunday price (but not as much as a Saturday) because our BM said more then likely they will have a wedding on that Monday, so our wedding day is more like a Saturday to them. However, had we picked a holiday weekend Sunday later in the season we could have paid less.
We opted for the date we wanted, and our main reason for booking a holiday weekend wasn't purely to save money, it was so that people had the next day off, especially since most of FH's fam is coming from NJ.

We are getting married on Monday Memorial day in the afternoon. I only booked the RH but the price was cheaper then it was for a sunday afternonn in april. And they told me that some vendors will give a discount because it's the holiday.
