Re: sunday weddings
I am getting married July 3rd, a Sunday, because I wanted to have the weekend to get ready and then everyone will have Monday off because it is a national holiday (4th of July, not my wedding hehe) But we booked with the church for a 3:00 ceremony and we are having a full mass. That is the only time they do weddings on Sundays but it is not shorter than any other ceremony on any other day. So I would imagine if you confirm with a church earlier enough you shouldn't have a problem. We are getting married at St. Patrick's in Smithtown. Maybe try a different church to see if they would be able to give the full mass? or speak with your church again and see if there is anything you can do. Hope this helps! Good luck =)

Re: sunday weddings
I'm doing a sunday wedding-but guess my situation is not the same-we're going away...so our guests will arrive friday; we'll have the wedding sunday and people will leave monday or tuesday it's their choice.

Sunday wedding for me too but ceremony is at the reception hall. I don't think that the church will really rush you out or anything, you just may not be able to have a full mass during your ceremony. My sister had full mass and it was like over an hour long...maybe that will be the only downside but they can still do a nice ceremony for you
