Sunflowers

Has anyone had a bouquet with sunflowers in it? I'd love to see examples!

Re: Sunflowers

I have seen alot of pics on here from past weddings w/ sunflowers. Most girls that have had them say to be careful with them. Something about wilting. Do a search and alot should come up. Good Luck!

Re: Sunflowers

Sunflowers are really pretty, but I would be very careful, I've heard they are extremely delicate.

Re: Sunflowers

Sunflowers are beautiful!! Believe it our not, my husband and I were disagreeing over flowers .. I wanted sunflowers, he wanted roses .. so we compromised! They did sunflowers and roses in the alter arrangements, which came to the reception and were placed at the foot of our table .. looked spectacular!! And our place-card table had a vase of just sunflowers. The bouquets, centerpieces and boutineers were roses.

It could be that sunflowers wilt easily because they take up so much water. Maybe the smaller variety of sunflowers would hold up better for a bouquet?? Definitely check with your florist .. they should also be able to give you some creative ideas, and maybe even have some more photos for you to see.

Good Luck!!

Re: Sunflowers

Thanks everyone! I have some florist appts set up, so I will find out what they think about how the flowers will hold up. I never even considered they'd wilt! Better to find out now rather than the day of! thanks!
