Sunset Harbour Patchogue

Hi Everyone! I was wondering if anyone could give me some information about Sunset Harbour in Patchogue. I am looking into it for my reception, but I see on their website, that they explain that the food tasting does not occur until 2 month prior to the date of the wedding. Is this normal? I always imagined getting to taste the food prior to booking a location.

A lot of places don't let you do a food tasting until after your booked. Best bet is to ask around (on here especially) for the word-of-mouth.

I went to a bridal shower there and the food (buffet, lunch) was OK, nothing special, nothing bad.
