Anyone know any dirt cheap limos - can be a little ghetto -
I want to go wine tasting out on the island and it would be cool to rent a limo for the day and split it with some other couples. Since its not a wedding, it doesn't need to be too glamorous
Any suggestions?

i dont know any either, but that's a good idea. my friends and i always go out to the vineyards in LI around havest season and we always just pick someone to drive - every year a different person. maybe this year we should suck it up and hire a driver...good idea!

We were thinking about that also.
In our Clipper magazine it says $49/person veinyard tour. M&V limos . When we called they said it was a 7 hour tour for 6 people.
That seems reasonable to me, I think they said $75 if we wanted more people.
I'm not familiar with them so I can't say if they are any good. If you find out anything else, please let me know :)

When is harvest season?
October/November...we usually tend to go around halloween...it makes for the perfect day with friends, - we go to the corn mazes, and then hit the vineyards all day long, drive back when it's dark and we are all feeling it. LOL - that so bad...mind you, we are all from queens (except my parents live in LI, they moved there about 3 years ago), so it's a long way back...anyway, so nice during that time of year, cuz the sometimes the vines are still full, sometimes not cuz they have picked the grapes already, and the weather is perfect, we've been going 5 years now and have never had a bad day.

I LOVE that idea, I'm gonna mention it to FH and 'steal' it!!!!
We're looking for a 'super cheap' limo for the wedding but haven't had much luck in that department. To me it seems ridiculous to spend so much for a short trip (especially since I would be the one to pay for it), but if I was splitting it with friends, that would be fine.
