Super Makeup vent...long but good!

So here is the back ground info:

I work part-time for Estee Lauder and always do my own make-up and have done tons of brides on their wedding day(actually just did one yest). So I was going to do my own wedding makeup but everyone was telling me I should get someone to do it for me.

So back in April I had a makeup trial at my house with one of my old friends that works for MAC at the same store I work in.

She did my makeup and I wasn't too crazy about it nor the price she was charging me...especially since she didn't do anything spectacular.

So I haven't really talked to her since the trial since I have been sooo busy with everything and
me working there only a few days a week I haven't really seen her.

About 20 minutes ago I received a text from her

'Hey girl quick question not that I'm stressing but I need to put in my request 4 july and need to know if u still need my services 4 ur wedding'

I called my sil(moh) b/c she knew that I didn't want to use her so she gave me some suggestions and decided to go with this one:

I texted her back:

'I've been meaning to talk to you.. I've been just been so busy. We are spending a lot more than we budgeted for everything. Between our new place and wedding I have to cut costs so I will just close my bedroom door that day, take deep breathes and just do it myself. Thank you so much for everything and I'm sorry I won't be able to have you do it.'

She texted back...

'So I'm guessing thats a Thank you but no thank you'

'Yeah... I guess next time I'll just have 2 charge 4 trails (trials...yea...she can't even spell!)
anyway good luck'

I texted:

'That was a little nasty'

She texted back:

'Wat sayin good luck all im sayin is wear waterproff mascara I didn't mean it da way ur takin it calm down woman'

W T F how would you take that text?!?!? What a biotch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and she can't spell!!!!!!!

you can check my album and see the way I do my makeup and what she did. It was nothing special so I'm sorry I want to look my best on my wedding day!

Sorry, but I would have taken it the same way you did. And honestly, I like the way you do your own make up better. I've found (no offense AT ALL to anyone using them) for me I think a lot of M.A.C. cosmeticians use way to much makeup and make it too dark.

Yours is much better.

It's hard to judge when you are texting, but she did seem to take it a little too personal...

You def. do your makeup gorgeous, there's no reason I'd go to her if I were you...BTW I absolutely LOVE the lipgloss in your second pic...if you remember which one it was, I'd love to know!

That pic is from a wedding I went to last year. I honestly don't rem...the problem is I have 100 different glosses and can't remember which one that was! I'm sooo sorry!

I absolutely like your make up soooo much better then hers. Don't worry about how she took the text. She will get over it and you certainty don't wanna look like a Club Chic at your wedding.

Hers was nothing speical... I love how your eyes look in the picture with your hair up. You should try to repeat the look

Ohhhh yes! I never even posted the 1st set of colors she tried on me! What a disaster! When I get home I will add them!

that was a mean text & like you said the make-up that she did was nice but not fantastic- I think it looks so much nicer in the picture where you did it!
