Every time I get my makeup done, I look like an umpa lumpa. I am super pale (anyone remember 'Powder'?) and they always want to make me look 'tan' which makes me look fake and gives me a bad line along my jaw line. Anyone know a makeup artist that can deal with pasty?
did you try lolalovesmakeup? I always feel like i look chinese when i get makeup done. i lOVEDD what she did, it was nice and simple and i still looked like me
Don't have any names b/c I haven't done MU trials yet, but a good makeup artist shouldn't try to make you a color that you aren't!

Donna from the Makeup Studio in Babylon. I definitely feel your pain because I'm pale with freckles and EVERYONE wants to put on foundation that doesn't match. Donna did and excellent job though!
I had the opposite problem. All of my MU trials made me look WHITE and I felt like casper. Ugghhh so frustrating.

thanks everyone; glad to see I'm not the only pasty faced one here! I agree that no matter what color you are, the makeup artist should enhance it, not make you something else (whether too pale or too dark). I have some phone calls to make!

i second this - i AM really pale and i booked lolalovesmake-up because she didn't make me look too different - just a better version of my everyday self!
