Sure this has been done too...But tell me...

How far in advance are you sending out invites?

For a 10/24 wedding, when should my guests have their invites in their hands??

They should be mailed out 8-10 weeks before your wedding date (that is my understanding).. with an RSVP cutoff of at leastone month b/f the wedding date (given the fact that everyone will NOT get back to you in time.. that's a given!)

ETA: for your 10/24 wedding, I'd say you should mail the invites out early August

3 months b4 ...so that would be end of july mail em out.

Definately 3 months before the wedding. You want the RSVP date about 5 or 6 weeks before the wedding because you definately have stragglers and you'll need the time to do the seating arrangements and placecards if your using them.

I will be sending them out AT LEAST 2 months before. I always procrastinate though, so it will be closer to the actual two month mark.

Yes, this had been asked beore , but I swear everyone always said 2 months.
I was thinking about 10 weks to allow for stragglers. Maybe I'll do it earlier if I can.

I was going to send mine 2 weeks ago but I had to reorder them and I just got them today so I'm sending them out this weekend - that will be 10 weeks. I was stressing to my MOH over this but she said (and its SO true) when she gets an invitation too early she either loses it or forgets about it. The next day a woman in my office said the same thing. The end of July for an October 24th wedding is way too early IMHO.

I've heard this before. And I think so too.
August 15th would be ten weeks. That sounds good.
