Surf Club vs. Woodbury Country Club

Hi ladies, I went to see a couple of Rh's and I can't make up my mind!!!! I loved the Surf Club and WCC. Can you please tell me what I should pick. I'm really confused I think I equally like both and they both quoted me about the same so that doesn't matter....if anyone saw both of these halls please post which one you liked best. Thanks.

New Rochelle. Its on the water and very nice. My vote is for the Surf Club, but wait I also like WCC, I cant make up my mind

Well, if the Surf Club is in New Rochelle, and Woodbury is on Long Island, why not choose the one that is closer/easier for your guests to get to?

I went to a wedding at Surf Club and loved it. The food was great and they staff was so attentive. I was a BM and the bride wanted a red bull so the Bridal Captain sent someone out to the local 7-11 to get her some because they didn't have it on site.

WWC is very nice -- we looked there but it wasn't right for us. I have never attended an event there so I couldn't tell you anything else about it.

I have never been to Surf Club but I have been to WCC. My wedding is going to be there and all I can say is that WCC is a beautiful place and they gave me a lot for my money ( not to mention they are catering to all of my requests). I also did a food tasting at WCC and the food is out of this world!!!! One of the best that I have tasted out of the weddings I have been to. They also have a lot of food options. We didn;t even make it past the cocktail hour, we have to make another appointment to finish tasting the food. My opinon may not count to much considering that i have only been to WCC, but i would day that i really wanted something that was on the water so depending on our preference and which one is closer to you. I'm partial to the Surf Club, obviously, but then again I've never been to Woodbury CC. I know you said you were quoted about the same for both, but did you also compare:
-the amount of food for CH and dinner menus
-what kind of alcohol package is included
-is the cake included, and do have your choice of style and flavor?
-can you use any vendors and how much for vendor meals?
-any extra charges like chair covers, etc.?
- minimums for the date/time you want?
- add'l pp you have to pay for service (at Surf Club its $3)

Sounds like you want to go with the surf club. I would choose WCC beaucase your wedding is in november and you never know what the weather be like. I think if you had a summer wedding then a rh by the water makes sense

Oh wait just saw it's in May.....of toughy

We are gonna go with Surf Club just because FH perfers that one. But thanks to all who replied. And for those WCC brides I'm sure you guys will have a great wedding at WCC cuz they are very good. : yesssss!!! another surf club bride i sooo excited!!!!!!! i will be getting married there in june!!! there used to be nooo surf club brides we are growing little by little!!!!!!!!!!! congrats, i think you picked a wonderful place! ok enough raves about my RH lol sorry

My cousin got married there last summer and it was really nice with great food! If you're interested, ask the rh about fireworks. They had them to open up the vh which they had out on the deck and it was a nice touch.
